Custom connectors are not available on every plan, and both companies change the rules often. If you cannot find the setting, check that assistant’s own help pages.

You tick these one by one on the LetsPackUp screen, and you choose which trips it can reach. Nothing outside your choice is possible, whatever the assistant asks for later.
No connected app ever gets these, whatever you allow: live location, the contents of any file, other members' documents, other members' emergency contacts, calendar links that work without signing in, and any invite link that would let someone in as an admin. The only link it can get is an ordinary-member share link, if you allow it.
Trips are shared, so this also exposes your co-travellers' itinerary items, notes, comments, votes, expenses and, with chat reading, all their chat messages. They are not asked and cannot remove it; only you can. With share links, anyone holding one can join a trip you own as an ordinary member, never an admin. No connected app can change roles or remove anyone from a trip. With your documents, a file it puts in shared documents is open to every member and no connected app can remove it.
Only paste this address into an app you trust. Whatever you allow on the next screen, it will be able to do as you.
Your own AI subscription pays for the thinking. LetsPackUp only ever sends it your trip data. LetsPackUp does not provide the AI. You bring an assistant you already use.

LetsPackUp is a connector for assistants that support remote MCP, so you keep the assistant you already have. Add https://api.letspackup.com/api/mcp as a custom connector, approve the permissions once, and start asking in plain language.
Ask for a five-day route and your assistant creates the trip, adds destinations and day-by-day activities and starts the packing list. It writes only into trips you own or help organise, and everything it adds is ordinary trip content the group can edit, vote on or remove.
Once the assistant is done, it is a normal LetsPackUp trip: invite friends and family, split the budget, chat, map every stop and tick off the packing list — on the web, on Android and offline.
A LetsPackUp trip is shared with everyone you invite. When you connect an AI assistant, the trip content covered by the permissions you grant leaves LetsPackUp and is sent to the provider of that assistant — the provider you chose, not us — including the contributions your co-travellers made. You choose which trips it can reach, and you can revoke its access at any time.
LetsPackUp is completely free, and so is connecting an assistant. You bring your own AI, so whatever that assistant costs is between you and its provider — we do not resell it and we do not charge for the connection.
Live location is never included, and neither are the email addresses of the people you travel with, their emergency contacts, the contents of any file, the calendar links that work without signing in, or any invite link that would let someone in as an admin. The one link it can get is an ordinary-member share link for a trip you own, and only if you allow it to create share links. Booking details on an itinerary item — a confirmation number, a booking link, an address, a door code — are sent if you grant the read permission: they are ordinary trip content that LetsPackUp already shows everyone on the trip.
Any assistant that supports custom remote MCP connectors. In Claude, custom connectors are available on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; Free is limited to one custom connector, and on Team and Enterprise only an Owner can add one. In ChatGPT, you must first turn on Developer mode, which is available on Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise and Education accounts on the web. Yes. Every assistant you connect is listed in your account with the trips and the permissions you gave it, and one click revokes the grant. Its next request fails immediately — there is nothing to wait out.
